Born in 1941 (E.C.) at Ankobar, Shoa, one in a family of two sons and three daughters, Sahledingil had his early education at Tafari Mekonnen School at Addis ababa. His early plans were to become either a teacher or a pilot. Besides being a good athlete he is keen on riding, and gradening. He admires the Israelis for their tenacity of purpose. He wants to visit Hawaii and South Africa, the purpose of course being different. He wants to amrry before he completes 25, a girl from his own village trained in domestic science. He has no ear for western music; prefers his KARAR and WASHINT (flute). His ambition is to lead a battalion in action. He strongly dislikes tribalism and color bar. He is allergic to working on Mondays.
